About the Role - The Chief of Staff establishes, defines and implements requirements for staff programs to ensure services, functions, and priorities align with organizational goals and mission.
Pay Range - $122,198 - $158860 per year.
Responsibilities
· Provides guidance to the Recovery Operations Director and Deputy Director, and as the chief of the staff, directs subordinate leaders regarding priorities and objectives, suspense dates, procedures, and operations of the organization.
· Ensures all organizational programs, plans, and policies are systematically integrated into an overall plan of operation.
· Exercises managerial authority to set long range goals and objectives, planning for staffing and organization needs, and overseeing the full range of personnel actions for subordinate staff.
· Leads and manages high level, high priority, urgent situations, which arise while responding to policy and action initiatives.
Qualifications - To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
· Coordinating all administrative operations and task direction to staff elements.
· Coordinating high priority actions, programs, policies and projects.
· Participating in developing the organization's strategic plans, goals, policies, programs and priorities.
